today in class we talked about religion and politics. are they seperate or are they interwined? is the relationship still the same today as it was way back in the 4th century? some things i thought are beginning to become skewed. like today when dr. borders asked if state had any involvement in church, i quickly assumed yes but i was wrong. preachers cant endorse politicians and support one government over another..
another thing that kinda got my attention today was how early christians didnt care about survival bc they believed in a realized eschatology, then why did they conform to governments to survive. i believe the one thing that you should hold strong in and not bend for anyone is religion. its just a thought provoker how churches have conformed to government.
